Well, it has been about 8 months since Madison left our home. Yes, we miss her alot, but are enjoying hearing about her successful efforts in bringing people closer to our Savior. I have been thinking about all the things I am grateful for lately. Among the top of the list are great friends like you all, who support and love unconditionally. I can't express how thankful I am for you and how much of a great influence you are in my life and that of my children. You have shown me how to be a better person...how to forgive and nurture among many things.
This month is thanksgiving, that holiday we celebrate the bounty we have been blessed with, when we thank God for all things, and we rejoice with friends and family. one of my favorite quotes is
"Gratitude turns what we have into enough."
Madison's letters/emails always contain her gratitide for her blessings, both spiritual and material. It seems living in different country has shown her what great prosperity we enjoy in this country. I know I find TONS to complain about with all the politics and failures in our government, but the reality is, I am grateful to be free, to have work, to be able to worship and live as I want. This is a blessing to me, this promised land.
I am grateful to see pictures like these because it assures me that life is good for Madison in Portugal and that she is the same Madison just improved through many spiritual experiences!
